Jana and Chris McDonald, owners of Term Brokers Insurance, have combined insurance careers of over 25 years. They have worked for the Corporate “mega-Companies” who, in the end, didn’t stand by their policy holders (some are now barred from doing business in Florida — you all know the stories) and have worked for small, local agencies in their hometown of Duluth Minnesota. In 2004, they moved to sunny Florida… hoping to find a niche in the familiar territory of Insurance.

Shortly after arriving and seeing the dramatic economic changes, their philosophy changed — no longer were they going to “sell” insurance, they had found an opportunity to “offer” Florida homeowners, business-people and individuals security, protection, peace of mind and financial vigor, which has become their Corporate Mission Statement.

Their knowledge and expertise of the insurance industry has made it possible for them to create the fastest growing and most highly acclaimed insurance brokerage enterprise covering the sixteen counties of the Florida panhandle.

The many awards and accolades they have received since Term Brokers’ inception have not changed or altered their Corporate mandate… “to strengthen the economy of northwest Florida by offering the very best insurance coverage at unbeatable prices.”

As you can see to the right in this updated family picture, the McDonald family has grown over the last few years. Just as their family has grown, Term Brokers Insurance Services has also grown… servicing thousands of policies covering homeowners, flood, health, life commercial and auto insurance. Term Brokers is now one of the largest and most diversified insurance companies in the Florida panhandle.

Jana and Chris along with their 4 children enjoy their lives in Florida — “it was the best move of our lives.”  Their children are heavily involved in community events and activities and sports programs.  Jana and Chris are members of the local Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, and many other insurance industry related professional organizations.

Michael is a Senior at Niceville High School. He loves the Destin area, the beautiful beaches and, of course, surfing. Next year he will be off to college and entering into a business program. He works part-time at Term Brokers taking pictures of insured property.

Gabriel is 16 years old and is “getting his feet wet” in the Insurance business. He is a Junior at Niceville High and is academically in the top 7% of all Florida High School students. He loves baseball and other sports. He works part-time in the Ft. Walton beach office doing account management and client audits.

Lindsey Gustman was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Lindsey appreciates the difficulty in finding secure, reliable and affordable insurance on the Gulf Coast.

After graduating from Fort Walton Beach High School, Lindsey began working part-time with her sister, Bailey Arcemont at a local insurance agency in Destin while attending Northwest Florida State College.

Immediately realizing the exciting and beneficial experience achieved through helping customers, Lindsey decided to make Insurance her full time commitment.

Specializing in Personal Lines, Lindsey joined the Term Brokers team in 2008. Lindsey strives to form bonds with each customer, educating them on the different discounts and coverage options available to them through each of their A rated companies.

A devout Florida Gator fan, Lindsey enjoys watching college football and enjoys spending time with family, friends and her Miniature Schnauzer outside of work.

I was born in Illinois, and was a military brat growing up. I have lived in Texas, Virginia, England, and then finally found my home here in Florida when my dad was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base about 20 years ago. I graduated from Niceville High School in 1998 and soon began working for ResortQuest. In the time that I was employed with ResortQuest I held many different positions, my final one being Group Sales Manager. It was through my employment there that I realized how much I enjoyed assisting and working with people.

After my employment with ResortQuest I spent the summer volunteering at PAWS animal shelter, and then started working for Term Brokers Insurance in August, 2010. I obtained my CSR 4-40 license in September, 2010, and have enjoyed learning a new career. I was married in November, 2010 and enjoy spending time with my husband, our family, and friends.

Adrienne Thompson was born in Manchester, England and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Adrienne moved down to the sun from northern Edmonton, Alberta, Canada seven years ago with her husband and children, and has enjoyed the warmth ever since.

Adrienne spent many years working fulltime as an accountant in Canada, upon moving to Florida she decided to stay at home for a few years with her busy girls. An incredibly active family life keeps Adrienne busy in her free time, volunteering at all sorts of events that her teenaged daughters are involved in. When she can relax she enjoys spending time at home with her family.

Missing the interaction of work after a few years, she returned on a part-time basis in an administrative capacity. Adrienne joined the Term Brokers team in 2009 taking on ever increasing administrative work as the company continues to grow. Adrienne enjoys the fast paced environment of our busy insurance office and keeping up with the variety of tasks on a day to day basis.
